Who are TWM :
Tyre Waste Management Ltd (TWM), was approved by the Minister of the Environment to act as a second compliance scheme in accordance with the Tyre Waste Regulations in December 2009. Prior to this there were only two alternatives : TRACS & your local authority. Tyre Waste Management was needed as a viable alternative.
The legislation requires that any business that handles tyres registers and submits information to an approved scheme or local government. The aim of the legislation is to ensure that all tyres that enter the Irish market are accounted for. TWM is committed to making compliancy as easy as possible and reduce the amount of commercially sensitive information that would need to be disclosed.
The key points to remember about TWM are :
- Simplicity of returns,
- Quality of Service - We help you become compliant
- Friendly and Personal Service
- Weight only on your returns means that you reduce the amount of sensitive information to be disclosed.
As a result of the Prime Time Programme : We would like to remind all members that it is your responsibility to ensure that your waste collector has a licence to collect tyres. If you are in doubt please check as nobody wishes to see tyres destroying the beauty of our country. |
